A survey on Monday showed a decline in German corporate sentiment in November, signaling less optimism among executives about the growth outlook for Europe's biggest economy.

The Munich-based IFO Institute of Economic Research said its business climate index fell for the third month in a row to 102.0. The average forecast in a Reuters poll was higher at 102.3.

"German corporate confidence has weakened more this month," said Clemens Faust, director of the IFO Institute. "Companies have lowered their current business climate ratings, albeit at a high level. Corporate expectations are also cloudy. "

He said the economy would grow 0.3 percent in the fourth quarter at the latest.
