A total of 190 countries have confirmed their participation in the World Expo, with the launch of the third international participants' meeting in Expo 2020, to be held on November 26-27, Expo Expo 2020 organizers said in a statement.

 

"The United Arab Emirates has exceeded the target number of countries participating in the bid to host the Expo, almost two years before its launch," the statement said.

 

The first meeting of international participants was held in 2016.

 

"Expo 2020 will present Dubai to every country around the world with the opportunity to introduce its culture, ideas and innovations, and show all this to millions of visitors," said Raim Al Hashimi, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Director General of Expo 2020 Dubai.

 

Expo 2020 will launch from October 2020 to April 2021 and is expected to attract more than 25 million visits and 70% of visitors from outside the UAE, "the highest proportion of international visitors in the history of Expo International," the statement said.
