The Budget and Accounts Committee of the People's Assembly discussed today the investment budget for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and its affiliates for the year 2019 estimated at 13 billion and 917 million Syrian pounds.
 
The members of the Council demanded in their interventions to tighten the fight against corruption and accountability of those who fail their work and expedite the completion of outstanding inspection issues and raise the compensation of internal control managers in ministries and government institutions and inspectors and the activation of rehabilitation and training.
 
He called on the members of the Council to secure the headquarters of the directorates of the institutions of the Council of Ministers in the provinces instead of those affected by terrorism and facilitate procedures and overcome obstacles to investors and the development of legislation on investment.
 
In turn, the head of the Central Monitoring and Inspection Authority Judge Amna Al-Shamat said that the Authority continues to work on the establishment of a computer network and automate its work in full to provide effort and time indicating that the compensation of oversight managers in ministries and government institutions are granted by their respective ministries and a proposal was raised to increase compensation inspectors.
 
Al-Shamat pointed out that there are a number of issues that are not related to corruption such as error or slowness in the work that causes damage to public money, but it is dealt with by the Authority as corruption cases in accordance with the laws governing the work of the Commission which requires confidentiality and not to disclose all cases .
 
In turn, the head of the Central Agency for Financial Supervision, Mohamed Barq, said that the system is continuing to implement its rehabilitation and training plan to prepare distinguished inspectors in cooperation with the Higher Institute of Business Administration in addition to the implementation of the project to automate the work of the Commission.
 
The Director of the Central Bureau of Statistics Ihsan Amer to the difficulties faced by the Office in the networking of the lack of headquarters in some of the provinces and lack of cadres indicating that 62 surveys have been implemented since the start of the crisis in Syria.
 
For his part, Director General of the Syrian Investment Authority Madin Diab said that the Commission's plan in the next stage to simplify procedures and networking with ministries and public bodies to reduce the effort and time on the investor, explaining that the Commission's demand is to grant broad powers to form a competitive institutional framework
