The branch of the General Establishment for Seed Multiplication in Hama contracted with a number of farmers in the province to produce about 18 thousand tons of wheat from the fields of the end of the next agricultural season.

 

The director of the branch of the Foundation Engineer Abdul Ghani al-Aswad said in a statement to SANA correspondent today that the cultivation of wheat crop in the fields of the second contracting contract will begin next week, where the seed will be distributed to the farmers, noting that the plan of the branch for the current season was the production of 13 thousand tons but was raised to 18 Tons to secure additional quantities of seed.

 

He pointed out that the branch continues to distribute wheat seeds to agricultural banks in addition to direct selling through its headquarters in the city center, noting that 3300 tons of seed were distributed to agricultural banks and 1981 tons to neighboring provinces for 800 tons direct sale to farmers.

 

The seed propagation branch in Hama recently contracted with a number of farmers in the province to produce about 5 thousand tons of barley from the fields of the end of the next agricultural season.
