The Minister of Tourism, Eng. Bishr Al Yaziji discussed during his meeting today a number of tourist activities at the Shahbaa Hotel in Aleppo, ways to develop tourist work, encourage domestic tourism and improve the performance of tourist establishments and guides in order to provide the best services to visitors.
 
The participants' interventions focused on demanding the tourism sector to provide new tourists, update information and statistics on tourist sites, provide tourist maps and signs, activate the commercial register of tourist institutions, create a pension fund for tourism industry workers, find solutions for temporary tourist licenses and provide the necessary facilities for attracting tourist groups. It also addressed the interventions to reduce the routine procedures related to the granting of the tourist register and the administrative license and to address the situation of irregularities in tourist sites, archaeological and historical sites.
 
Minister Yaziji stressed the ministry's efforts to develop legislation governing tourism work and introduce new tourist projects for investment, pointing out that Syria is facing a new stage in the tourism sector, especially Aleppo.
